The City of Edgewood is holding a special runoff election today.
In the City Election on November 2nd, there were only two candidates running for three open positions on the Edgewood City Council. And even though several people received write-in votes for the third council spot, none of them received enough votes to meet the required threshold.
Today’s runoff election will determine who wins that third city council position. Anyone who receive a write-in vote in the City Election was able to file an Affidavit of Candidacy to be on the ballot, with Michelle Brady the lone affidavit received by the Delaware County Auditor’s Office.
Brady’s name appears on today’s ballot, along with a spot for write-in candidates.
Honey Creek and Elk Township residents can vote today at St. Mark’s Parish Center in Edgewood, while Lodomillo Township residents, including the corporation limits, can vote at Edgewood City Hall.
Polls are open until 8 pm tonight.
