An open house is being held tonight to honor Manchester Mayor Milt Kramer.
Kramer is retiring after nearly five decades as mayor. He first became involved in serving the City as a city council member, elected in 1970 – and after serving nearly five years on the Council, he became Mayor – a position he’s held for 47 years.
Kramer announced this summer he would not seek re-election. His term will come to an end at the end of the year.
The City of Manchester is hosting an open house in his honor tonight from 4:30 to 8 pm in the City Council Chambers – in conjunction with the Manchester Window Walk. Everyone is invited to stop by and say hi to Mayor Milt. Refreshments will also be served.
