In Boys play:

Independence fell to Marion 65-41 in a game played at Upper Iowa University

Tonight our KMCH Sports featured game has the West Delaware Boys traveling to Vinton to face the Vikings of Vinton-Shellsburg. The Hawks are 1-0 while the Vikings are 0-1. All the coverage on Mix 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App starting around 7:15 with Bill Logan and Roger Wright.

The West Delaware Girls and Boys Bowling teams begin their season this afternoon in Vinton at the Berry’s Lanes taking on Vinton-Shellsburg starting at 3:30.

The Maquoketa Valley dance team competed at the State Dance Team Championships inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines yesterday. The Wildcats won a Community Service Award, a Distinguished Academic Award and placed 5th in the Hip-Hop Pom Division 1.
