Lauren Marie Kasad, 26, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center in Independence, and is now sheltered, safe in the arms of Jesus. She was born with disabilities on August 4, 1995, in La Habra, California, the daughter of Darin and Rebecca (Rodela) Kasad. Lauren was raised in California until she was 14 years old. In June of 2009, Lauren moved with her family to Strawberry Point and she graduated from Starmont High School.

Lauren was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alfred Rodela, and paternal grandfather, David Kasad.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. A Go Fund Me page has also been set up: Lauren’s Memorial Fund
The Kasad family would like to thank all of the caregivers who have taken care of Lauren throughout her life, and most recently, all of the nurses and staff at ABCM East Campus in Independence.
