The West Delaware Hawks Girls and Boys Bowling teams started out their new season with losses at Vinton on Friday afternoon. The boys fell 2580 to 2720 with their high roller being sophomore Louis Shontz with a 426 series, followed by a 357 from freshman Brady Hartke. The baker games were 175, 136, 223, 183, and 158 for a 875 total.
The Hawk girls lost to Vinton-Shellsburg by a score of 2439 to 1970. They were led by Junior Alexus Riley with a 328 series, followed by Junior Jasmine Ibarra, a 304 series. Coming up this week, both teams will travel to Maquoketa on Friday to compete against the Cardinals and the girls will take part in the Prairie Bakers Tournament on Saturday.

Anamosa was defeated by West Branch 61-26
North Linn took down Cedar Valley Christian 69-11
Central Elkader lost to Springville 60-46
Central City beat Midland 52-28
Anamosa topped West Branch 73-55
Central City was clipped by Midland 43-38
Central Elkader fell to Springville 81-40
North Linn thumped CVC 94-47

The 0-3 West Delaware Girls will travel to take on the 2-1 Bobcats of Western Dubuque in Epworth with tip-off scheduled for 7:30. Sports Director Jon Swisher and Corey Coates will have the call on Mix 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App.
The boys version of the WD’s will square off inside Seedorff Gymnasium in Manchester. The Hawks are 2-0 while the Bobcats are 1-1. Bill Logan and Roger Wright will provide the commentary live on the KMCH Sports Video Stream at kmch.com starting around 7:30.
The North Linn Girls and Boys will entertain Clinton Prince of Peace beginning at 5:30.
The Ed-Co Girls and Boys will be home to MFL-MarMac starting at 6:15.
