Not Guilty Verdict for Manchester Man Accused of Killing Keokuk Woman in 2004

A Manchester man accused of murdering a Keokuk woman has been found not guilty.

Nathanial Ridnour was arrested in May 2020 following an investigation into a cold case from 16 years ago. He was charged with First Degree Murder in the June 2004 death of 73-year old Bonnie Callahan.

Callahan was found dead along the bank of the Mississippi River in Keokuk. Investigators said she had been dumped in the river, with her body showing signs of blunt force trauma.

Ridnour had pleaded not guilty.

His case went to a jury in Lee County District Court this month, with the jury returning a verdict of not guilty last Thursday.

No other details about the trial were available.
