Mullis Brings Murder Case to Iowa Court of Appeals

An Earlville man convicted of killing his wife is appealing his case in Des Moines.

Todd Mullis was found guilty of First Degree Murder by a Dubuque County jury in 2019 in the death of his wife, Amy Mullis. She was fatally stabbed in the back with a corn rake on their farm in November 2018.

He is currently serving a life sentence in prison.

But Mullis has maintained his innocence. He and his attorneys argue there was not enough evidence presented at trial to support his conviction.

The Iowa Court of Appeals began hearing arguments in his case on Wednesday afternoon.
