RMC Asking Visitors, Staff & Patients to Wear Surgical Masks

Regional Medical Center in Manchester is asking all patients, visitors and staff to wear surgical masks at their facility and clinics effective immediately.

RMC says the request is due to recent studies and increasing COVID-19 infections in the community.

Surgical masks will be available when you enter RMC’s facilities. If you bring a cloth mask, they ask that you replace it with the provided surgical mask when you arrive.

Regional Medical Center says the highly transmissible omicron variant is present and active in our communities. COVID-19 vaccines remain the best tool to help people from COVID-19, slow transmission, and reduce the chance of new variants emerging. Get vaccinated against COVID-19. If you’re fully vaccinated, get a booster when you are eligible. Vaccines are readily available in our community. RMC recommends that if you are sick, stay home. Cover your cough and wash your hands frequently. Wear a mask when indoors as the entire state of Iowa has a high level of COVID-19 transmission at this time.
