Senate Panel Dismisses Ethics Complaint Against Sen. Zumbach
A Senate panel has unanimously dismissed an ethics complaint against State Senator Dan Zumbach of Ryan.
The complaint alleges Senator Zumbach pressured officials to approve a state permit for his son-in-law’s cattle feedlot in northeast Iowa.
Radio Iowa’s O. Kay Henderson reports:
Senator Zumbach does not have a financial stake in the cattle lot. Zumbach has said his advocacy on his son-in-law’s behalf was the same as it’s been for any constituent trying to navigate the regulatory process.
