Gaelic Gallop Plans Announced as Part of Dyersville’s St. Paddy’s Celebration

Dyersville is making plans for its annual St. Paddy’s celebration – coming up on Saturday, March 12th – and that includes the Total Fitness Rec Center’s Gaelic Gallop.

The Gaelic Gallop is a race that offers a 8K Road Race for more serious runners of all ages (it’s a 5 mile loop), a 2 Mile Fun Run /Walk for all ages and a Leprechaun Leap for kids 6 and younger (which is about a 50 yard dash).

The race starts at St. Francis Xavier School Auditorium and Gymnasium, with check-in and registration opening at 8:15 am, the Leprechaun Leap at 9:30 am, the 8K Road Race at 10 am and the 2 Mile Run at 10:05 am. They’ll wrap up with refreshments and the medals ceremony at 11 am, with the Textile Beer Tent returning this year.

Online race registration is available through March 7th at totalfitnessdyersville.com. The last day to register and receive a shirt is March 3rd.

And then join Dyersville for all the Irish fun, including the St. Patrick’s Day Parade downtown starting at 1:30 pm.
