The Delaware County Relay for Life is busy making plans for this year’s event.
Team Recruitment Chairperson Shirley Rempt says they hold the Relay for Life every other year in Delaware County. It was a virtual event two years ago because of COVID – but it’s back in-person this year, set for Friday night, June 24th at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. .
Anyone can form a team to raise money to support the Relay for Life, with all the money going to the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. Rempt says they’ll be holding their first informational meeting tonight at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the meeting starts at 6 pm – if you haven’t already registered a team for the Relay online, she says they can help you get signed up at tonight’s meeting.
