Read Across Iowa kicked off March 1st – starting a month-long celebration to bring the joys of reading to kids of all ages.
Events are being held across Delaware County and the state, featuring books and materials all about agriculture.
ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County are visiting Lambert Elementary students throughout March – students will be challenged to keep a reading log and read as many books as they can during the month.
They’re also hosting a countywide reading contest. Delaware County kids can download a reading log from their website at extension.iastate.edu/delaware or stop by the Extension office to pick one up. Kids can use the log to track their reading throughout the month and then turn it into the Extension office by April 6th – everyone who does will be entered into a drawing for a reading prize pack.
