Delaware County Master Gardeners Bring Back Mondays in March Programs

It’s time to start thinking about gardening – and the Delaware County Master Gardeners are excited to bring back their “Mondays in March” programs this year.

Master Gardener Bob Wendt says it’s been a couple years since they’ve been able to host this annual event.

“Mondays in March” is a lecture series held every Monday night throughout the month of March at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester. Each program features a different speaker and topic. It kicked off last week with a presentation by Bruce Quint on new landscape staples. And Wendt says tonight, they’ll talk about preserving the taste of summer with Kelsey Salow. Next Monday, it’s garden produce anatomy with Ray Kruse and they’ll end the programs on March 28th with Gaylord Stauffer, who will tell you everything you need to know about daylilies.

With the weather starting to warm up here and there, spring fever is here and gardeners are anxious – and Wendt says there are a couple of things you can start working on right now.

“Mondays in March” starts at 7 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. A two dollar donation will be accepted, with door prizes also given away.
