Manchester Chamber Hosting Ag Luncheon on Thursday

The Manchester Chamber will be hosting their annual Ag Luncheon tomorrow.

It’s the 39th year for the event – and it’s back for the first time since 2019 after being cancelled the past two years due to COVID.

And Chamber Director Dave Wakefield says they’re excited to bring back Dr. David Kohl as the keynote speaker. Kohl is Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech.

The day will begins in the morning with a FFA Career Fair for local FFA students, followed by a morning breakout session with Dr. Kohl with FFA students and ag producers before he addresses a larger crowd for the keynote address. Wakefield says the Ag Luncheon is just a good opportunity to gather the local agricultural community and show appreciation.

The event is made possible by numerous local sponsors.
