Unemployment Rate Down in Delaware County, Across Iowa

New numbers show unemployment rates were down across the entire state during the month of February.
Delaware County’s unemployment rate last month was three-point-two percent – lower than the rate a year ago, which was four-point-eight.
At least fifteen other counties in Iowa – all in western Iowa – had even lower unemployment rates, as low as two percent.
Delaware County has the lowest unemployment rate of the surrounding area. Buchanan County was at three-point-seven percent in February, Dubuque and Linn counties was at three-point-nine, Jones and Fayette counties at four-point-nine percent and Clayton County at seven-point-two percent.
Iowa’s unemployment rate is at three-point-five percent. The national unemployment rate was at three-point-eight.
