Delaware County Public Health says certain individuals are now eligible to get an additional COVID-19 booster.

The CDC says if the following ages have received their first booster dose at least 4 months ago, they are now eligible to receive a second booster dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine:

  • Ages 12+ who are moderately or severely immunocompromised (can receive Pfizer)
  • Ages 18+ who are moderately or severely immunocompromised (can receive Moderna)
  • Ages 50+ (can receive either Pfizer or Moderna)

In addition, adults aged 18+ who received a primary vaccine and a booster dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months ago may now receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (either Pfizer or Moderna).
