Linn County has a new emergency management coordinator.
BJ Dvorak has been selected from amongst 30 applicants for the position.
Dvorak has served as the Plans & Exercises Officer with the Linn County Emergency Management Commission since July 2019. He’s also a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Tiffin Fire Department.
Dvorak will begin his job duties as the Agency Coordinator on Saturday.
He replaces outgoing EMA Coordinator Steven O’Konek, who retired yesterday from the agency after more than four years of service.
