Tuesday Night’s Storms Stay West and North of KMCH Listening Area

Severe storms missed the KMCH listening area last night.

A line of storms moved across the state – but died out before hitting eastern Iowa. National Weather Service meteorologist Rod Donovan says northern Iowa took the brunt of it.

Hail that was a bit larger than two-and-a-half inches in diameter was reported near Gilmore City. There were no reports anyone was injured in Tuesday’s storm.

Now that the chance for storms has passed, we’re left with cooler and windy weather the next few days.

And we could see a rain/snow mix on Easter Sunday, with highs in the 40’s through the weekend into next week.
