Community Helping Petersburg Family Who Lost Home in Fire

The community is helping a Petersburg family who lost their home in a fire last week.

Nick and April Pasker’s house was destroyed by the fire that broke out late Thursday afternoon. Dyersville Fire Chief Jeremy Honkomp says the house was a total loss.

The Paskers are now staying with family in Dyersville.

Donations have started coming in to help the family of six. Nick’s sister, Kara Pasker, tells KMCH that if anyone would like to help, they could use such donations as gift cards, gas cards and any house necessities, as well as toys for their four kids (they like Sonic, Frozen, Spiderman, Paw Patrol, Minnie Mouse, Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers) and dog food for their four dogs. Donated items can be brought to Brian and Lois Pasker’s home at 715 3rd Street Northwest in Dyersville.

A benefit has been set up for Nick, April and their family for monetary donations at any Dupaco Community Credit Union and Dutrac Community Credit Union under the account of Nick and April Pasker and Family Benefit. You may also send monetary donations to Nick or April Pasker Benefit at 715 3rd St Northwest in Dyersville.

Kara says the donations and support mean so much to her family and they cannot say thank you enough to the community for coming together and helping out a family in need.
