A Linn County man died in a farm accident on Wednesday morning.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 7:30 am in a field on Bowdish Road west of Whittier Road.
73-year old Stephen Jay Martin of Springville had been operating a field processor when he stopped to make some adjustments to the equipment. The Sheriff’s Office says it appears Martin slipped and fell from the equipment, suffering an injury which resulted in his death.
The incident was discovered by his family, who made the call.
