Donald Russell Wickman – Dundee

Donald Russell Wickman, 71, of Dundee, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his home in Dundee. He was born on March 29, 1951, in Manchester, the son of Raphael “Ray” and Blanche (Willard) Wichman. Don attended St. Mary Catholic School and West Delaware High School in Manchester. He graduated with the class of 1969 and began farming after graduation. Don also enlisted in the Army Reserves serving six years.
On June 7, 1969, Don was united in marriage to Jeanette Fritz at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester. Six children were born to this union. Don was a lifetime dairy and crop farmer in the Dundee area.
Don was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching westerns in his spare time and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of almost 53 years, Jeanette Wickman, his five children, Kimberly (Robert) Murray and Robert Wickman, both of Manchester; Russell Wickman of Lamont, Daniel (Jennifer) Wickman of Dundee, and David (Ashley) Wickman of Lamont; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandaughter; his mother-in-law, Mildred Fritz of Manchester; his two brothers, Ronald (Jane) Wickman of Kellogg and Eugene (Judy) Wickman of Robins; and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Anthony, in infancy; his brother, Richard Wickman and his sister, Loretta Edmonds.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester, Iowa with Reverend David Weber presiding.
Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa. Friends may also call one hour ahead of the funeral service on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
