Fire destroyed a home in Manchester early Sunday morning.
The Manchester Fire Department says they were called to the Ben and Darcy Schiess home at 17168 190th Street around 5:40 am.
The fire fully engulfed the garage and extended into the family’s living quarters. There was also damage to nearby structures.
Fire Chief Mike Ryan says they haven’t determined what caused the fire. He says the State Fire Marshal’s Office has been contacted.
Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours, with assistance from Dundee and Delaware fire departments, as well as Manchester Police, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Regional Medical Center EMS, Alliant Energy and Black Hills Energy.
