Delaware County Replacing 130th Street Bridge Near Dundee

Delaware County has plans to replace one of their rural county road bridges within the next year.

County Engineer Anthony Bardgett says crews will replace the 130th Street Bridge, which is located just northeast of Dundee on the west side of Highway 13.

The current bridge was built in 1970 and has a “poor” structural rating, mainly because of the poor rating. It’s a 30-by-29 foot precast concrete panel bridge (pictured above) and will be replaced with a 40-by-30 foot concrete slab bridge (pictured below).

The County Board of Supervisors has approved a contract with Taylor Construction – they were the low bidder at $340,806.

The company has been given a late start date of April 1st of 2023 to work on the project.

Bardgett says since it’s a local road with not much traffic, they’ll place advance warning signs when the bridge closes, but there will not be a detour.
