The heat and humidity is leading some schools to dismiss classes early this week.
West Delaware officials say the district will be letting out students early on Thursday. They’ll be ending the day at the same time as their early outs on Wednesday – that means the West Delaware High School will dismiss at 1:15 pm and West Delaware Middle School and Lambert at 1:25 pm.

Temperatures are expected to hit 91 on Thursday – that’s about twenty degrees above normal. More seasonal weather moves in later this weekend into next week, with highs in the 70’s.
