A couple was arrested after a domestic assault in Manchester over the weekend.
Manchester Police received a complaint of a domestic disturbance that took place at an apartment at 1004 East Main Street on Sunday.
The initial investigation uncovered there was a verbal argument between 18-year old Kaiylee Smith and her live-in boyfriend, Blake Baker, both of Manchester. This led to a physical altercation, with Smith choking Baker. Further investigation uncovered Baker held Smith in the apartment against her will.
Officers also found marijuana in their apartment.
Baker has been charged with False Imprisonment and Domestic Assault First Offense. Smith has been charged with Violation of a No Contact Order and Domestic Assault Impeding Air Flow. Both of them also face charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana).
