Three People Arrested for Stealing Items from Norby’s in Manchester

Three people have been arrested for stealing items from Norby’s Farm Fleet in Manchester.

Manchester Police say on Wednesday, they received a report of a possible threat at the store at 1341 West Main Street. 

Officers investigated and discovered two people had tried to remove merchandise from the store without paying for the items. Police tell KMCH they stole some clothes, knives and other miscellaneous items. 

The Manchester K-9 Unit was also called in, which led to the discovery of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. 

Police arrested 50-year old Bret Scheidt of Cedar Rapids, 30-year old Dawn Rhoads of Ottumwa and 41-year old Phillip Horak of Cedar Rapids.

Scheidt is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd or Subsequent Offense), Theft Detection Shield Violation, Third Degree Theft and Driving While Barred. 

Rhoads is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd or Subsequent Offense). 

Horak is charged with Theft Detection Shield Violation and Fourth Degree Theft.
