Fun at KMCH!Photos

Meet the KMCH Team

A big thank you to the Manchester Chamber for hosting Business After Hours at KMCH this past Tuesday! We appreciate everyone who stopped by to wish Rob Edwards farewell as he retires from radio and to also welcome several new staff members who have joined us over the last few months.

We’ve got some new faces around here, so we wanted to make sure you all get a chance to know the KMCH team!

In our top photo (pictured left to right) is Faith Hermanson, Dani Burke, Jon Swisher, Sarah Meyer, Eric Walker, Loretta Welcher, Janelle Tucker, Eileen Waterman, Justin Roberts and Abbey Dickman.

So what role does everyone have at KMCH?

Sarah Meyer is our General Manager & Marketing Manager, overseeing our sales department and the radio station as a whole. Sarah has been with KMCH since 2005, getting her start as a marketing consultant before stepping into her leadership role in 2015.

Eric Walker is brand new to the station, starting just two weeks ago! Eric comes to us from Cedar Rapids with many years of radio experience. He will serve as our new Program Director, overseeing all of the programming you hear on KMCH. This week, Eric also made his debut as our new Afternoon Host – you can listen to him weekdays from 1 pm to 5:30 pm.

Janelle Tucker is our News Director, gathering and producing the local news stories you hear on KMCH each day. Janelle’s voice can also be heard on the radio as our Mid-Day Host weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm. She’s been with KMCH since 2004.

Justin Roberts worked for KMCH part-time on weekends for over a year before joining us in January as our new Morning Show Host – he loves entertaining you on the air weekdays from 5:30 to 9 am! He also serves as our Farm Director, bringing you the KMCH Ag Informer.

Jon Swisher is our Sports Director, producing and announcing our local sportscasts and bringing you live play-by-play coverage of high school sports many nights and weekends. You may hear him fill in for Eric, Janelle and Justin from time to time during the week. Jon also serves our clients as a Marketing Consultant. He’s been with KMCH since 2009, but joined us full-time in January.

Dani Burke is one of the smiling faces you see and friendly voices you hear when you stop by our front desk or call the station, but she also serves as our Office Manager, Human Resources Manager and Marketing Consultant – she wears many hats around here! Dani joined KMCH in 2019.

Faith Hermanson came on board with us in March to help serve our business clients as our new Marketing & Business Development Coordinator at KMCH. Before going off to college, Faith actually spent a couple years with us working as a part-time weekend announcer and board operator while she was in high school!

Loretta Welcher joined KMCH part-time last fall after serving our community for many years as a dispatcher next door at the Manchester Police Department. Now, Loretta is using her phone skills to call and serve our clients at KMCH. As our Special Event Marketing Coordinator, she offers our clients marketing opportunities to support special community events, non-profits and public service announcements on the radio.

Eileen Waterman has been with the station since 2005 as our part-time Administrative Assistant. And Abbey Dickman joined us in April as our new intern. Both Eileen and Abbey help answer your phone calls to KMCH and greet visitors at our front desk too!

And we’ve got a great team with our KMCH Sports Department (Bill Logan, Jamie Vaske, Roger Reed & company) and part-time weekend announcers and board operators (Trevor Hunt and high school students CJ Taylor, Alyssa Kleinlein, Saige Hunt and Matthew Vick).

After celebrating KMCH’s 30th anniversary last December, we’re looking forward to serving you – our listeners, our clients and our community – for many more years to come!
