Delaware County Holds Public Hearing on Swine Confinement East of Earlville

Delaware County held a public hearing Monday afternoon on a construction permit application for a confinement feeding operation east of Earlville.

AR Pork, operated by Ron Domeyer, is proposing to convert some existing swine nursery confinement buildings into swine finisher buildings. It does not involve any new construction.

After converting the buildings, there would be a little over 4,000 head of swine finishers and three hundred head of nursery swine. 

The County did not receive any comments about the permit application. They plan to send a letter of recommendation to the DNR.
