Ruth was born on March 24, 1932, on a farm near Thorpe, Iowa, the daughter of John William and Emma Ida (Grimm) Lubben. She was a devoted, caring and proud mother of eight children whom she loved greatly. Ruth came from humble beginnings but worked hard her entire life, including employment at John Deere in Dubuque, Iowa for 20 years. She also loved her farm and her farm life and enjoyed raising beef cattle and hogs, gardening, and more recently lawn ornament decorating. Ruth was a generous, friendly, and thoughtful soul who was always willing to help anyone in need and taught her children to do the same.

Ruth is survived by her seven children, Sheila, Randy (Reeta) both of Delhi, Pam (Tony) of Naples, Florida, Kevin (Nancy) of rural Delhi, Jeff (Barb) of Larkspur, Colorado, Jody (Mike) of Cypress, California, and Jim (Jennifer) of Manchester, Iowa; and her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma; son, Scott; grandchild, Marissa; siblings, Katherine Arenholz, Klein Lubben and Virgil Lubben.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Tri County Care and Above and Beyond Hospice for the excellent care they provided Ruth.
