Edgewood Rodeo Kicks Off Tonight

Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days is here!

It’s the biggest weekend of the year in Edgewood as they’ll be hosting thousands of people over the next four days for their annual rodeo event.

Chamber Board member Taylor Bockenstedt, who’s been helping with the rodeo since she was ten years old, says it’s a lot of work to get everything ready for Rodeo Days – and they’re ready to go.

This year, the week kicked off a little early, with a special Rodeo Rockin’ Eve on Wednesday night featuring live music from Beau Timmerman – exclusively for Friends of the Pro-Rodeo. And the first night of the rodeo is tonight.

Edgewood Pro-Rodeo Days continues Friday.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday with the Edgewood Firemen’s Breakfast from 8 to noon, followed by the Demo Derby at 1 pm.

Tickets for the rodeo are $20 at the gate and $15 for kids ages 5 through 12, with kids 4 and under free. Gates open at 6 pm each night.

Bockenstedt hopes to see everyone in Edgewood this weekend.

Tune in tonight as Justin Roberts and Janelle Tucker will be there on the rodeo grounds broadcasting live from 5:30 to 7:30 pm here on Mix 94.7 KMCH. And on Saturday, look for Justin in the parade, with Jon Swisher announcing the Edgewood Rodeo Days Parade – and we’ll be video streaming the parade live on kmch.com.
