Drivers on Highway 20 will notice some road work over the next few weeks between Manchester and Delaware.
Traffic cones went up on Wednesday as both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 20 along that stretch are down to one lane.
The DOT says crews are milling off some pavement and replacing it with new asphalt pavement along Highway 20 from the Highway 38 interchange to the Maquoketa River bridge. There may be times when the contractor is not working and the traffic control could be open temporarily, depending on the stage of construction.
DOT Transportation Planner Sam Shea says their construction engineer expects the roadwork to be done by mid-July at the latest.
