Ag Informer – Growing Up Wild

ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County hosted ‘Growing Up Wild’ day camp on Tuesday, June 21st for 22 youth. This day camp focused on youth learning about and experiencing nature through hands-on activities. While learning about insects and bugs, youth created spider web weavings, made worm trail paintings, and then went on a short hike, paying special attention to any insects or bugs along the way. To learn more about wildlife, youth discussed differences between wild and domestic animals, learned about animal adaptations, and discovered that wildlife is everywhere!

‘Growing Up Wild’ day camp is a part of ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County’s Summer Youth Adventure Programs. The next day camp will be ‘Outdoor Adventures’ held Tuesday, June 28th.
