Firefighters Called to Castle Theatre to Investigate Smoke Issue

Castle Theatre in Manchester will be without air conditioning for a short time.

Firefighters were called to the movie theater Thursday morning. They discovered the air conditioning system’s motor blew late Wednesday night and filled the auditorium with smoke. Manchester Fire Chief Mike Ryan says firefighters were on the scene for about an hour investigating, but there was no fire or damage to the theater itself.

Castle Theatre manager Kristy Davis tells KMCH the theater will be open with movies showing as scheduled – but until repairs are made, they will be without air conditioning.
