The Manchester Fire Department raised several thousand dollars for the MDA during last week’s Delaware County Fair parade.
Firefighters walked the parade route with boots in hand, asking parade-goers to fill them with donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
This year, they collected $3,671. Last year, Manchester was able to raise over $4500 – an all-time high – for the MDA.
The funds raised support the MDA’s vision to accelerate research, advance care and advocate for the support of MDA families.
