Mary Kay Bissell, 77, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on January 16, 1945 in Manchester, the daughter of Burdette and Rosemary (Bemrose) Franks. Mary was raised and educated in the Manchester area.
On June 21, 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Vance Bissell at the Greeley Methodist Church in Greeley. Two
children were born to this union. The couple was later divorced.
Mary worked at the Castle Theatre in Manchester as a teenager. She also did in home day care with a friend locally in Manchester and was always a caring homemaker.
Survivors include her two daughters, Betty Bissell of Manchester and Julee Bissell of Oelwein; and her many
friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Franks, a grandson, Rick Marshall; and her former husband, Vance Bissell.
