Fareway Stores Raising Money for Local Children’s Charity

Fareway Stores has been partnering with a local charity this month to help children.

The grocery chain is working with Variety – the Children’s Charity for their sixth annual Round Up at the register.

Fareway customers can round up to the next dollar or provide an additional donation on their grocery bill to help Variety’s mission. The money raised will provide mobility equipment to children living with special needs, as well as fund and deliver effective programs and grants to care for children who are underprivileged, at-risk, critically ill or living with special needs.

All of Fareway’s 130 store locations have been participating this month, including Manchester, Dyersville, Independence, Monticello, Anamosa, Oelwein and Peosta.

The Round Up fundraiser runs through Saturday.
