Saturday is Manchester Day at the Kernels

It’s Manchester Day at the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game on Saturday.

City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley says it’s a 6:35 pm start, with gates opening at 5:30 pm – and just a fun night for the community to get together.

Foley says several Manchester residents will be involved with the game – Liz Sleper will sing the National Anthem, XL Specialized Trailers’ Director of Operations Corey Stafford will throw the first pitch and ten kids from Manchester will get to do pregame on-field activities.

Four hundred tickets were available for free over the past week at various Manchester locations thanks to sponsors and donors, but those tickets are now gone – so if you’re still looking for tickets, you can purchase them through the Kernels office.
