Unemployment numbers are up slightly in Delaware County.
The latest numbers released for June are at 2.1% – up from 1.7% in May.
Numbers are also up in all surrounding counties – Dubuque and Buchanan counties are at 2.6%, Jones at 2.8%, Clayton at 2.9%, Fayette County is at 3% and Linn is at 3.1%.
Delaware County remains to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in eastern Iowa.
Statewide, unemployment for June was at 2.6%, while the U.S. rate was at 3.6%.
