Local Babies Receiving Tummy Time Mirrors in Memory of Dyersville Woman

Babies born in the Manchester and Dubuque hospitals have been receiving a special gift this past year – in memory of a Dyersville woman.

Becky Drees passed away in June 2010 from injuries she suffered during a motorcycle accident. She was just 22 years old.

That’s Becky’s mom, Nancy Drees, who says they wanted to do something to continue her giving spirit and let her memory live on – so they started the Becky Drees Memorial Foundation to raise money for Tummy Time Mirrors.

Becky even had her own Tummy Time Mirror in 1988, shown in this photo.

And now, hundreds of babies will have their own Tummy Time Mirrors too – thanks to the Becky Drees Memorial Foundation, which held its first big golf outing fundraiser last summer.

And just this week, the number reached 1,000 Tummy Time Mirrors donated to those three hospitals. The Becky Drees Memorial Foundation will host their second annual golf outing next month at Timberline Golf Course in Peosta on Saturday, August 13th.

If you’d like more information about the golf outing, the dinner or if you would just like to donate, you can reach out to Nancy Drees at 563-590-5038 or check out the Becky Drees Memorial Foundation on Facebook. Registration is due today, July 29th.
