RAGBRAI Heading to West Union for Overnight Stop

RAGBRAI is making its way through Fayette County today.

West Union is tonight’s overnight stop on the Register’s annual bicycle ride across the state. It’s RAGBRAI’s first visit to the town since 2005.

The weather has been beautiful for this year’s ride, with nearly 20,000 riders completing “The Ride of the Century” on Wednesday. Riders trekked 105 miles from Emmetsburg to Mason City, the first 100-mile leg of RAGBRAI since 1985. Steve Luper from Seattle, Washington is enjoying his first RAGBRAI experience.

Today’s RAGBRAI stop in West Union includes live music from Beau Timmerman, The Swing Crew, Bar Flyz, Steven Schroeder, Rolling Thunder and Arch Allies at the courthouse square. Other free entertainment throughout the day includes corn hole games, a rock-climbing tower, human foosball, a dunk tank and professional wrestling matches.

RAGBRAI will wrap up their week-long ride in Lansing on Saturday.
