Petersburg’s Back Field Country Bash Returning Labor Day Weekend

Petersburg is making plans to host another party this Labor Day weekend.

The Back Field Country Bash is returning for the second year in a row.

That’s Randy Nefzger, who says the Petersburg Commercial Club held the event last year to celebrate the community’s 150th anniversary, with a concert on the ball diamond featuring Confederate Railroad.

This year’s event is set for Saturday, September 3rd, with music from Ashton Shepherd, a country artist who has had a few hit songs on the radio.

And Beau Timmerman will kick off the event with live music starting at 4 pm. Along with the concert and fireworks, there will be bounce houses, a kids’ pedal pull, beverages and food stands featuring the Delaware County Cattlemen, Pork Producers and Dairy Council, along with the Petersburg Achievers 4-H Club.

The event runs from 4 to 11 pm the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. And you don’t need to buy your tickets ahead of time this year. You can just get them at the gate for $25, with kids 10 and under free.
