An Independence driver was seriously injured in a crash near Quasqueton on Sunday morning.
The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says Renee Recker was driving southbound on Quasqueton Diagonal Boulevard near Nelson Avenue around 6 am when she lost control of her SUV. The vehicle went into the east ditch, striking a driveway embankment and going airborne before coming to rest in the ditch.
Recker was transported to a Waterloo hospital with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
