Local Women Competing in Iowa State Fair Queen Contest

A new Iowa State Fair Queen will be crowned on Saturday night.

Several young women from the area have been participating in the state fair queen contest this week at the state fairgrounds.

The local candidates from the KMCH listening area include Maddie Hoeger representing the Delaware County Fair, Cerria Drips representing the Clayton County Fair, Zoey Wecker representing the Linn County Fair, Abigail Patrick representing the Fayette County Fair, Lauren Beyer representing the Buchanan County Fair, Grace Schuckert representing the Dubuque County Fair (not pictured) and Reagan Schneiter representing the Great Jones County Fair. 

The current Iowa State Fair Queen is McKenna Henrich of Plymouth County. 

The new queen will be crowned at the Iowa State Fair on the Bill Riley Stage this Saturday night at 7 pm. Iowa PBS will livestream the coronation ceremony on Facebook, YouTube and iowapbs.org
