Operation Santa Claus is hosting a Fun Run/Walk this weekend.
Co-chairs Kathy Swift and Jane Murphy, along with one of the elf volunteers, Annette Lenz, say it’s the first time their organization is hosting a fundraiser like this, but they’re hoping it bring donations and awareness to their cause.
Operation Santa Claus’s Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday at 8 am at Central Park in Manchester, with all runners and walkers welcome.
Volunteers with the Operation Santa Claus program will be on hand, including retired co-chairs Pat Becker, Sue McCormack and Jo Ellen Holtorf – and the West Delaware cheerleaders will be there cheering everyone on at the start.
If you’d like to register, the cost is twenty dollars. You can sign up ahead of time at RunSignUp.com (just search for Operation Santa Claus 5K) or they’ll also be taking registrations starting at 7:30 am Saturday.
And if you’d like to bring any donations for Operation Santa Claus – new toys, books or clothes – you can bring them along to the Fun Run/Walk on Saturday.
