Saturday’s River Runner Regatta in Manchester is being postponed due to the threat of rain.
The River Runner Regatta features homemade cardboard boats that race down the Whitewater Park on the Maquoketa River, with the winners receiving prizes.
The Franklin Street Brewery, which hosts the annual event at the Manchester Whitewater Park, says with a high chance of rain and thunderstorms, it’s best at this time to move the event for the safety of all involved, including participants, spectators, safety crews, audio equipment, as well as the boats themselves.
The River Runner Regatta has been rescheduled for next Saturday, August 27th at 2 pm.
