Manchester’s Hero Hustle Invites Spectators to Cheer on Athletes in Sunday’s Race

The seventh annual Hero Hustle is this Sunday in Manchester, with nearly two hundred people signed up to participate in a sprint triathlon at Schram Park.

Manchester City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley says it all kicks off at 9 am.

And while registration has closed for the race, the City is hoping the public will come out and cheer on the athletes. Committee member Kristy Blake says if you’d like to watch the Hero Hustle, 8:30 am would be a good time to make your way to Schram Park, with parking available in the Schram area.

And it doesn’t cost anything to come out and watch.

All the proceeds from the Hero Hustle go to Delaware County’s emergency services, including the fire departments, police and EMTs. Last year’s event raised nearly $12,000.
