Local unemployment numbers stayed pretty steady through July.
The latest data released by Iowa Workforce Development shows unemployment in Delaware County and most of the surrounding six counties has either stayed the same from June to July or changed by one or two tenths of a percent.
Delaware County’s unemployment rate for July was two-point-one percent – up just slightly from two percent in June.
Buchanan County was at two-point-six percent, Clayton County at three-point-two percent, Dubuque County at two-point-eight percent, Fayette County is two-point-nine percent, Jones County two-point-eight percent and Linn County at three-point-two.
Iowa’s unemployment rate for July was two-point-five percent, while the U.S. jobless numbers were at three-point-five.
