A Lamont man was injured in a crash north of Manchester on Thursday morning.
It happened around 5 am at the intersection of 180th Avenue and 150th Street. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year old Michael Sandhagen was driving his pickup northbound on 180th when he passed through the intersection and into the north ditch.
Authorities say he wasn’t able to see the intersection’s stop sign due to foggy conditions.
Sandhagen’s truck was totaled. The Sheriff’s Office says he was trapped inside and emergency personnel extricated him from his truck by non-mechanical means.
He suffered what authorities believed were minor injuries and was transported to Regional Medical Center.
