Virginia Faye White – Manchester

Virginia Faye White, 82, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on August 10, 1940 in Greeley, the daughter of Earl and Edith (Hook) Morley. Virginia was raised and educated in the Greeley area.
On June 9, 1957, Virginia was united in marriage to George White at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Three children were born to this union. The majority of their 60 years were spent in Manchester, in the same home.

Virginia and George were members of the United Methodist Church and the Mountain Doers Camping Club, traveling to many states over the years.

Virginia volunteered at the Good Neighbor Home, the RMC Hospital Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed playing dominos, going on road trips with her sisters and coffee time with her girlfriends. Virginia loved spending time in her yard, her flowers, baking and being there for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her extended family and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Deb (Gary) Gibbs of Manchester and her son, Scott (Crystal) White of Williamsburg; five grandchildren, Kayla (Corey) Hood, Becca (Keeley Brewington) Gibbs, Morgan (Josh Lahr) Gibbs, Abigail White and Caroline White; four great-grandchildren, Millie Jones, Aubree, Grayson and Finley Hood with Baby Lahr on the way; five siblings, Leah Preuss of Edgewood, Judy (John) Wolter of Maquoketa, Patti (Mike) Wardell of Oelwein, Earl (Connie) Morley of Sparks, Nevada, Marla (Jim) Goranson of Cedar Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, George White; a son Doug White; and two sisters, Margie (Dave) Hatch and Linda (Joe) Bousek; and brother-in-law, Russell Preuss.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, at United Methodist Church in Manchester, Iowa with Reverend Phil Rogers officiating.

Visitation: 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa. Friends may also call one hour before service Friday, September 9, 2022 at the church.

Interment: Oakland Cemetery – Manchester, Iowa
