Delaware County has welcomed a new county engineer.
Rafe Koopman is just a few weeks on the job, coming to Delaware County from Clayton County.
Koopman says his goal is to serve the county the best he can.
He says he doesn’t have any plans to make any major changes with the Delaware County Secondary Roads Department.
There are a couple of projects the county is currently working on.
And several projects are in the works for next year.
Koopman says he appreciates the warm welcome he’s received in Delaware County these first few weeks.
Koopman replaces Anthony Bardgett, who resigned as the Delaware County Engineer in July.
